I recently gave this advice to an acquaintance, and I've given it to many other people over the years. These three guidelines about how to choose a career came to me while I was on my mission.

Colton's Career Guidelines

1. Do you like it?

2. Are you good at it?

3. Can you support a family by doing it?

In my opinion, only if the answer to all three questions is yes, should you make something your career.
